Filing Requirements for Different Business Types
Corporations
- Deadline: The New Mexico biennial report for corporations is due by the 15th day of the fourth month following the end of the fiscal year every two years. For most corporations with a calendar fiscal year, this means the report is due by April 15 of the applicable year.
- Fee: The filing fee for New Mexico corporations is $25. This does not include any additional service fees.
- Submission: Reports must be filed online with the Secretary of State.
Nonprofits
- Deadline: The New Mexico annual report due date for nonprofit corporations is by the 15th day of the fourth month following the end of their fiscal year.
- Fee: The filing fee for nonprofits is $10.
- Submission: As with for-profit corporations, reports must be submitted online.
LLCs
LLCs in New Mexico are not required to file an annual or biennial report. However, you must update the state’s records promptly if any business details change, such as the registered agent or address.
